With the arrival of electricity in Jeri in 1988, Jeri adapted to its new inhabitants many of which come from many corners of the world. In Jeri one can find numerous types of restaurants, bars, coffees from where to listen to good brazilian music with romantic candle light.
JERI BY NIGHT
When it is full moon, at night the locals light fires on the beaches in a festive ritual. At around 1 am the Jeri night start. The Planeta Jeri bar on the main street near the beach is one of the focal points for night seekers. After one everybody goes to the Rua do Forró to dance Forró or to one of the exotic discos “Mamma Africa” where reggae is fashonable. At the end of the night the first rays of the sun stare after the nigth seekers to their beds.
